TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By enrolling for the Pi Pilates Certification course, you agree and acknowledge:

  • All terms and conditions and to comply with the Pi Pilates Academy policies and procedures including all entry requirements, requirements of your course and the Student Code of Conduct.

  • By making payment, you are committing to your training course. No refunds are given.

  • All information provided at the time of enrolment was accurate and complete including personal details, contact details and anything that may impact your ability to complete the course such as any physical restrictions, disabilities, injuries, medical conditions and individual learning support needs.

  • If you believe there is a risk to your health by participating in any activities within this training program, you are obliged to inform the Pi Pilates Academy immediately and refrain from participating in the activity(s). It is your responsibility to disclose all medical information that may affect your participation in any activities within this training program.

  • The commitment and strict time frames for completion of your course apply and all parts of the course must be completed before your enrolment expires. Extensions will only be offered at the discretion of the Pi Pilates Academy.

  • Exclusivity and Copyright - Information provided in both verbal and written contexts are for the personal use of the student only. You must not provide any of the materials or content to anyone outside of the training course. The copyright of all the course material is the property of the course provider.

  • Travel to and from the Pi Pilates Academy will be at the learners’ own expense. Classes and private sessions will be available at a student discounted rate.

  • Arrange at your own expense, all entry requirements of the course including access to an approved classical Pilates studio. Whilst the Pi Pilates Academy will assist learners as much as possible, access to an approved classical Pilates studio cannot be guaranteed in your location and travel at your own expense may be required.

  • You will attend the Pi Pilates Certification course, use the facilities and equipment at your own risk. At registration you confirm that all medical conditions and injuries, both past and present have been disclosed and where required have obtained clearance from your general practitioner.


REFUNDS & CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations: ALL payments are non-refundable. The Pi Pilates Academy reserves the right to terminate any student from the programme for conduct which violates the policies of the Pi Pilates Academy, or which conduct qualifies as unprofessional conduct deemed inappropriate as determined by the Pi Pilates Academy in its sole and absolute discretion. Students must be able to physically exercise in seminars and apprenticeship to be eligible for certification. The Pi Pilates Academy reserves the right to suspend students who cannot participate fully in the programme.

Deferral request: Requests must be made in writing at least 14 days before the course start date. Transfer date must be within a 12 month period from previously scheduled start date and completed within the stated timeline unless otherwise arranged with the Pi Pilates Academy. If you are unable to attend a module or session that is scheduled, it can be made up privately for an additional fee per hour or by attending a subsequent weekend for a flat fee. Note that all sessions must be completed in order.

The Pi Pilates Academy reserves the right to postpone and reschedule any course due to unforeseen circumstances, but will endeavor to give you as much notice as possible and will take reasonable steps to ensure new dates set are convenient for you to attend. The Pi Pilates Academy will not be responsible for any travel/accommodation costs due to course cancellation/rescheduling.


COMMITMENT

Upon registration you confirm and understand the commitment of time required to complete the course including self practice and study as well as attending the course dates. You are expected to attend sessions regularly yourself in a classical studio and also practice your teaching on others.

The Pi Pilates Comprehensive Certification and Bridge Certification courses are to be completed within 9 months from the start of the course. Dependent on availability, students may apply for an extension of maximum 30 days. All extension requests are approved at the discretion of the Pi Pilates Academy and are subject to a fee, regardless of the reason for the extension request, including for reason of medical issues.

The tuition includes all modules and seminars, course manuals, online and e-learning content, assessments, studio access at Pi Studio for self-practice, observation and practice teaching. Any course manual replacement will be subjected to a fee towards the cost of printing. Any written materials, training materials, textbooks, instructional activities, or lecture sessions must not be recorded, duplicated, shared or resold to a third party.

Not included in the tuition are suggested reading materials, private sessions and group classes, private coaching or mentoring and any assessment resit fee.

Apprentice hours are to be undertaken, recorded by you and arranged with an approved Classical PIlates Studio.

Comprehensive and Bridge Certification

  • 600 hours apprenticeship
    • 72 hours - seminars
    • 60 hours - mandatory private sessions and group classes
    • 15 hours - online and e-learning content
    • 9 hours - assessments
    • 444 hours - self-practice / observation / practice teaching / sessions and classes.

Mat Certification - No formal apprenticeship however we advise a minimum of 20-30 hours of practice before your practical assessment.

If you apply to **apprentice at Pi Studio **and are accepted you can teach your friends and family free of charge. Timings must be arranged and agreed in advance. You are not permitted to practice with existing Pi Studio clients. If you are asked to cover any classes or sessions at Pi Studios whilst still an apprentice you will be paid a flat rate of £15 per hour. Clients pay the studio directly and the studio pays you upon receipt of a monthly invoice.

Apprenticeships hosted at other approved studios are subject to their terms and conditions.


ASSESSMENTS

Comprehensive Certification Assessments. (*Included in course fees for all participants including Bridge enrolled from 1st January 2020). Assessments are to be arranged with the studio/teacher trainer. If unsuccessful on first attempt, your second attempt will be free of charge and must be completed within two weeks following your first attempt. Any further re-tests will require an additional fee. You are required to arrange a body for your practical test out - either a colleague on your course or a friend/family member.

Certificates are issued electronically upon successful passing of online and practical assessments. A hard copy of your certificate can be issued, if required, for an additional fee. Please allow up to 10 business days for a certificate to be issued from the date you have been notified you have successfully completed your course.

Course times are noted on each course and can vary depending on the course you are enrolled in and on the material being covered. Breaks will be given throughout the course for lunch and drinks/toilet breaks. Refreshments are not provided on the course however there is a water machine on site and several shops, pubs and cafes nearby to purchase food and drinks. There are no shower facilities on site but we do have a changing room, lockers and toilets.


General Code of Conduct:

  • Wear suitable clothing for working out as well as sitting and listening.

  • Please avoid wearing jewellery or clothing with zips or buttons as this can damage the apparatus.

  • No chewing gum, food, sugary or fizzy drinks near studio apparatus.

  • Please be punctual and respectful of our studio and of others on the course. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the course is due to start and allow time in your planned journey for travel/transport delays.

  • On your first visit you will be required to complete and sign a health screening form. You must provide details to any yes answers given and if needed gained clearance from your general practitioner to participate.

  • You understand you will attend the Pi course, use the facilities and equipment at your own risk and will listen to instruction for advice on how to safely use apparatus.

  • Phone to be on silent and in bag/locker whilst the course is in process.

  • Personal belongings are your responsibility and Pi will not be held responsible for any loss. We recommend storing items safely in one of our lockers.

  • It is your responsibility to advise teachers if you feel unwell at any point whilst on the course and also if you have suffered any major operation, injury or illness before the course starts.

  • If you have verruca or a similar foot complaint you must wear socks in the studio.

  • Foul language and aggressive behaviour is not tolerated. Please respect our teachers, our studio and other clients.
